Originally by: Kraken Kill There were roughly 42 Tri Caps, Roughly 200 in the support fleet.
there was a Trinity or ATF support fleet that came in another gate but those numbers may have been part of the 200 man support fleet.
The RK numbers dropped over time to about 150 support fleet and less than 42 caps but i dont know our exact numbers, i was watching tri smack me in their system.
We knew you were coming so we decided to stay. We saw the moms jump to the interjump system ready to get in place. So we didnt really get trapped. We just wanted a Fight.
We didnt attack in VFK where your gang was because you have a Cyno jammer up there and it doesnt make much sense for us to hit 42 caps with 7 of those being moms with a BS fleet- thats about 450 Fighters. + that 200 man support fleet.
Anyway it was a moon mining training op ok?
We learned we needed more Rorquals.
I don't want to argue too much, but you there were 176 in local before we jumped in, with 4-5 of those being Tri.
Our gang dropped to 86 during the 'height' of battle due to people crashing.
If you include ATF, our caps etc, our total gang was less than 150...in fact not even close...local never went above 300...so your numbers are off.

Originally by: Koronos Your numbers are wrong Wes. From two jumps out I watched a fleet of 110 tri then a fleet of 70 atf arrive, then onseytwoseythreesey people coming in regularly after that. Another scout reported people coming from the other direction. No real point having this argument I know, fair game bringing numbers, and the 8 moms was a bit rough on us, and we got our ass handed to us in the end, just please do not try to make it sound like you were outnumbered.
Also I understand that the numbers on either side before the jump and the max system numbers are also meaningless because people crashed, but believe me people crashed on our side too.
Koronos
edit: sp and to say, gf, good job on the cap kills.
I agree that many ships passed you by, my count was based on how many people made it into system during the 'height' of battle...I can tell you gang dropped to 86 on our side (I had lots of time to look at stuff like that...as I couldnt see anything else for alot of the fight! thank god MSN and voice coms don't lag!)
I am sure your side also had many drops as the lag was truly dreadful.

Truth is lag was really bad before the fight...I was scouting around a few hours before the fight, and lagged out when I was killed jumping into an 11 man gang...don't know why it was so harsh yesterday, but eve didn't seem to be working very well.

Edited by: Wesley Baird on 11/02/2008 20:45:47 Everyone had lag, some people more than others...no one knows what the results would be in a 100% lag free environment sadly...so no need for us to beat our chests about being uber, as the next time the lag monster may fall in the other direction...then what?!
So lets leave it at GF, lets do it again...with more caps please...and less drakes!!!

The late night battle (well late night North American time) was way more fun from my perspective than Sunday. Numbers were fairly even, although Smashkill did have some carriers etc.
The night went like this:
- One large POS coming out of reinforced at about midnightish my time (MST). Approx 1 hour before the POS came out the first battles started.
- Cloaky Tri recons trying to get warpins on Smashkill BS's and support trying to rep guns etc
- One Raven was within tackle range, cloaks dropped our nano fleet warped in, I put jams out, they decloaked 2 falcons and 2 Rooks, leading to my death and the death of a couple other nano-fags.
- As Wes goes back to Jita for a new Falcon and fits, Tri regroups and switches to snipers. ATF are invited to join the pew and they send a few brave souls.
- Snipers move back into 4U90 without any resistance. Snipers begin to warpin around the POS to various snipe points and light up BS's that are outside of the POS shields. We had some success, but Smashkill did a good job using their 6 Carriers to get RR on BS's. We rinse and repeat a few times, from time to time we switch to shooting their support and kill a few Hacs. At some point during this time ATF nano gang arrives to bolster our numbers.
- Word is Smashkill reinforcements from their secret staging area's in Venal's NPC stations are entering system. We get a warpin, with support going on the gate. Support does a good job at tackling and Snipers start shooting. Some Smashkill make it off the gate and head for the POS. The Smashkill fleet at the POS warp back to save those stuck and dieing. Many of those who warp into to save their friends get bubbled and also die, leaving Tri to hold the gate.
- Tri fleet warps back to the POS to pick off those slow to enter the POS and manage a few more kills. Several more attempts were made to pick off targets of opportunity, Smashkill Carrier pilots do a good job at keeping their BS's alive.
At this point I had to log...it looks like Smashkill were able to rep the POS back up.
Smack in local seemed pretty light hearted, and I think compared to the massive lagfest of Sunday everyone had a good time! Lets make it earlier next time gentlemen, my work is starting to suffer!!
